Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to manage modern infrastructure across cloud, on‑premises, Linux, automation and container platforms. You will join a technical infrastructure team that ensures reliable development, testing, staging and production environments, while driving automation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and administer internal infrastructure services in cloud, on‑premises and hybrid environments.
• Configure, maintain and improve Linux‑based systems used by development and operations teams.
• Manage AWS resources including compute, networking, IAM, security groups, load balancers and managed databases.
• Create and maintain development, test, staging and production‑support environments.
• Use automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible and AWS CloudFormation to provision and configure infrastructure.
• Support containerised workloads with Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS and Amazon ECR.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, build support, artefact management and deployment configuration.
• Develop and maintain OS and container images for internal use.
• Monitor system health, performance, logs and capacity using observability platforms.
• Assist with backup, recovery, resilience testing and security activities including access control, encryption and vulnerability remediation.

Required profile

• Strong background in systems administration with hands‑on experience in cloud and Linux environments.
• Practical knowledge of infrastructure automation and container orchestration.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Experience supporting development and operations teams in a fast‑paced environment.
