Systems Administrator – Enterprise Infrastructure (Sydney)

About the role

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will enhance the reliability, security and performance of a national healthcare services organisation's enterprise technology environment. You will work closely with Service Desk, Operations teams and external vendors to support day‑to‑day infrastructure operations while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support and maintain enterprise infrastructure including servers, networking, endpoints, identity and collaboration platforms.
• Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
• Administer Microsoft 365 environments, managing licensing and security compliance.
• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks and operational knowledge across teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Systems Administrator or similar infrastructure operations role.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capability.
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Intune environments.
• Exposure to Azure, Windows Server and VMware environments.
• Understanding of networking technologies, ideally within Fortinet environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues using structured problem‑solving approaches.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and Microsoft certifications are highly regarded.
