System Network Administrator – Property Firm

About the role

We are seeking a System Network Administrator to join our close‑knit IT team within a leading Australian property organisation. The role is newly created and will focus on managing, maintaining and supporting our internal infrastructure while contributing to both day‑to‑day operations and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support Windows environments, network infrastructure and end‑user systems.
• Manage network devices, applying firmware and security updates to firewalls.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory and Exchange Server.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user IT issues, escalating when necessary.
• Configure client workstations and support system migrations.
• Assist with user onboarding and deliver training on system usage.
• Perform ongoing IT maintenance, system monitoring and patching.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in line with ISO 27001.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on IT operations and projects.
• Undertake special projects and ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Jack‑of‑all‑trades with experience across systems and Layer 2 networking.
• Strong communicator who proactively up‑skills and takes ownership.
• Proven Windows and Microsoft 365 administration in complex corporate environments.
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 networking and firewall management.
• Security‑first mindset with hands‑on cybersecurity experience.
• Logical troubleshooting, problem‑solving and a desire to help teammates.
• Comfortable working full‑time onsite in a corporate setting.
