Swim School Instructor

About the role

PCYC Capricorn Coast is seeking a responsible and energetic Swim School Instructor to deliver fun, high-quality swimming classes at Capricorn Coast Aquatic Centre. The role provides a safe, fun and educational environment in which students progressively learn to swim, in a supportive and respectful atmosphere.

Required profile

• Current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certificate (SISSS00132)
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Experience in a similar role is highly desirable
• Willingness to hold or obtain a Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics qualification if required
• Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and a National Police Check on commencement; restricted person legislation applies

Required skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to deliver effective swimming lessons for a variety of age groups and skill levels
• Strong knowledge of water safety protocols
