Surfacing Estimator

About the role

Join Fulton Hogan's Infrastructure Services team in Townsville as a Surfacing Estimator. You will support the expansion of our project portfolio across Northern Queensland, working closely with the Estimating Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare first‑principles estimates for asphalt and spray‑seal works.
• Manage the full tender process, from documentation review to subcontractor pricing packages.
• Attend onsite tender briefings and site visits as required.
• Develop risk and opportunity analyses and present them to internal stakeholders and clients.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated professional with project management or site engineering experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Business, Commerce or Construction Management are preferred but not essential.

Required skills

• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Estimating software such as Benchmark (or equivalent).
• MS Projects experience (advantageous).
