Support Worker - Children Services

About the role

Westhaven is looking for a Support Worker in Orange to help children and young people with disabilities build the skills, confidence and foundation they need for a brighter future. The role is described as being both a worker and a mentor and guide, with a 24/7 rotating roster.

Key responsibilities

• Support children in developing essential daily living skills.
• Facilitate social outings and community engagement.
• Maintain accurate case notes and track progress.

Required profile

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services or a related field, OR identification as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
• Valid NSW driver's licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Check.
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Applicants must hold valid, independent Australian working rights; visa sponsorship is not offered.
