About the role
HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for volunteers in Orange, NSW. As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for an older person living in your community. The scheme aims to connect elderly people with volunteers in their local community.
Key responsibilities
- Visit an older person in your community regularly to provide companionship and social interaction.
- Share your interests with the person you visit, such as sport, art, pets, gardening, walking, yoga, baking, crafts, movies, music, coffee or crosswords.
- Visit between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday; visits can be weekly or fortnightly depending on your availability.
Required profile
- 18 years or older.
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
