Supply & Demand Planning Manager

About the role

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will drive the S&OP, demand forecasting, inventory management, supplier management and broader planning activities for a global FMCG business. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Customer Service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Supply and Demand Planning process, own the local S&OP cycle and run monthly meetings.
• Manage and develop a local team of demand and supply planners, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Partner with commercial teams to drive promotional planning and improve demand forecasting accuracy.
• Oversee launch and promotional planning for new products, using historical data and market assumptions to predict patterns.
• Conduct forecast reviews with the commercial team, enhancing information sharing with retailers.
• Manage finished‑goods inventory to meet stock targets, coordinating replenishment and ordering with the global business.
• Drive distribution and replenishment planning to ensure product availability across warehouses and channels.
• Monitor inventory performance and supply trends, identifying shortages or excess stock and implementing corrective actions.
• Translate market information, promotional activity, retailer strategy and financial priorities into planning decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with retail supply chains to improve joint planning and transparency.
• Leverage SAP IBP, Power BI and AI to turn data into actionable business objectives.

Required profile

• Solid experience in FMCG, retail or a similar industry within supply planning, demand planning or S&OP.
• Proven ability to work quickly, make autonomous decisions, influence stakeholders and mentor a team.
• Hands‑on leader willing to roll up sleeves and get involved.
• Curious problem‑solver capable of leading continuous‑improvement projects.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to develop strategy from data insights.
