Supply & Demand Planning Lead

About the role

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Supply & Demand Planning Lead to own end‑to‑end demand and supply planning for its Australian plant and coordinate with other global sites. The role drives the S&OP process, turning commercial demand into actionable production and material plans while improving visibility, service and cost outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full demand and supply planning cycle across multiple business units and plants.
• Orchestrate S&OP, balancing commercial demand, capacity and cost.
• Translate forecasts into firm production schedules and material plans, managing freeze/flex rules.
• Drive inventory strategy, optimisation and health across the network.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance and Logistics to mitigate constraints and model cost‑to‑serve scenarios.
• Steward planning systems (ERP/MRP/APS) and champion data quality and digital improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years in integrated planning with strong demand and supply experience.
• Deep S&OP ownership and commercial acumen to balance demand, capacity, service and cost.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills across teams and functions.
• Highly organised, results‑driven and able to operate at both detailed and system‑level views.
