Supply Chain Manager

About the role
The Supply Chain Manager will lead end-to-end supply chain activities, ensuring efficient procurement, production planning, inventory control, logistics and distribution. The role aims to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and maintain high service and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, production planning, warehousing and distribution.
- Monitor inventory levels and demand forecasts to balance product availability with excess stock.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers and internal teams.
- Analyse performance data, identify cost-saving opportunities and drive productivity improvements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and service agreements with vendors.
- Evaluate supplier performance through audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track KPIs and prepare regular reports on inventory, logistics and procurement.
- Identify supply-chain risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and safety standards.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma or other process-improvement projects.
- Support digital transformation by deploying supply-chain technologies and automation.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation and operational planning.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement or operations management.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory control, warehousing and transportation management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
Required skills
- ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Supply-chain planning systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
