Subject Matter Expert Manager, Domain Expert - MENA

About the role

Dataminr is looking for a Domain Expert Manager to lead its MENA expertise, ensuring the AI platform delivers high‑quality alerts and intelligence. You will work in a real‑time information environment, integrating deep regional knowledge into AI models and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the regional expert on Middle East and North Africa geopolitical developments and data sources.
• Monitor and analyze data‑feed quality, own projects to improve AI model performance, and lead strategic initiatives across teams.
• Make real‑time decisions with incomplete data, collaborate with stakeholders worldwide, and support region‑specific training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Political Science, Middle Eastern Studies, security/conflict studies or a related field.
• Professional experience with deep regional expertise, preferably in breaking‑news desks, wire services or GSOCs.
• Ability to interpret complex events in Arabic and English; additional languages (Farsi, Hebrew, Turkish) a plus.

Required skills

• Fluency with AI tools and large language models (LLMs) and experience applying them to solve problems.
• Strong analytical skills to describe ongoing events with incomplete data in a fast‑paced environment.
