Structural Project Engineer – Defence Projects

About the role

Join WSP's Building Structures group in Perth as a Structural Project Engineer working on high‑profile defence and commercial projects. You will lead design and delivery across multiple phases, collaborating with a national multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural design, delivery and tender activities for multi‑year, turnkey projects.
• Ensure project delivery meets technical, commercial and regulatory standards while staying on schedule and budget.
• Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with local clients and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to the engineering team and support cross‑discipline coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience on building projects in Australia, including commercial, retail, defence, health or education sectors.
• Eligibility for Australian Defence full security clearance (Australian citizen only).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver cross‑discipline projects effectively.

Required skills

• Structural engineering design, including post‑tensioned concrete.
• Proficiency with BIM for complex building structures.
