Structural, Mechanical & Piping Designer

About the role

Nexmin is seeking experienced Structural, Mechanical and Piping Designers to join its Perth team. Reporting to the Manager – Design & Drafting, you will develop engineering designs from concept through to detailed deliverables for mining and minerals projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, manage and deliver design drafting outputs in line with project requirements.
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings, models and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design integrity.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and specifications.
• Contribute to internal and project milestone design reviews.
• Support project delivery across all stages, from concept to execution.

Required profile

• Certificate III or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mining or heavy‑industry projects.
• Strong leadership skills for senior‑level positions.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Valid work rights in Australia.
