Strategic Partnerships Manager (12‑month Fixed Term)

About the role

ING Australia is expanding its Business Banking proposition and seeks a Strategic Partnerships Manager on a 12‑month parental leave cover. The role will shape the future of Business Banking by identifying, developing and launching partnerships that add value for customers and support ING’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the partnership and ecosystem strategy for Business Banking, identifying opportunities to differentiate ING in the market.
• Identify, assess and prioritise partnership opportunities based on customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics and commercial value.
• Build business cases and lead opportunities from evaluation and negotiation through to contracting, implementation and governance.
• Collaborate with Business Banking, Marketing, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Operations and Technology teams to deliver partnership initiatives.
• Manage and optimise the partnership portfolio, tracking performance, customer outcomes and commercial impact while identifying future growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic partnerships, proposition or business development.
• Strong understanding of Business Banking, including customer needs, products, market dynamics and emerging trends.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, build business cases and influence investment decisions through data‑driven insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills across diverse internal and external partners.
• Experience navigating complex organisations and delivering outcomes from concept through to implementation.
