Strategic Account Manager – Data Centres

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Strategic Account Manager for Data Centres to lead growth across hyperscale, colocation and enterprise customers in the Pacific. This senior, front‑line position sits at the intersection of infrastructure, technology and sustainability, influencing the design, build and operation of next‑generation data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Own and expand high‑value hyperscale, colo and enterprise accounts, developing multi‑year strategies that increase share‑of‑wallet.
• Shape early‑stage customer decisions on cooling, controls and sustainability, acting as a trusted advisor at executive and technical levels.
• Lead end‑to‑end deal strategy, crafting commercial and technical proposals for long‑cycle, high‑value opportunities.
• Integrate thermal solutions, HVAC, BMS/controls, security and digital offerings into cohesive value propositions.
• Align regional teams with global account strategies and ensure seamless execution across sales, engineering and delivery.
• Engage customers on emerging trends such as AI workloads, high‑density cooling and decarbonisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of technical or solution sales experience in BMS, controls, automation, HVAC or integrated systems.
• Strong understanding of data‑centre environments, including cooling, resilience and operations.
• Proven track record managing complex, high‑value accounts within matrix organisations.
• Experience navigating long sales cycles and structured pipeline management (Salesforce preferred).
