Strategic Account Executive – Federal Government

About the role

Datadog is expanding its Federal Government segment and is looking for a Strategic Account Executive to drive revenue growth across federal accounts. You will work with a best‑of‑breed observability platform, prospect new government customers, and deepen relationships with existing ones.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and manage sales cycles within Federal Government organizations, building and owning relationship maps for the territory.
• Develop a deep understanding of customers' business needs, negotiate pricing and terms, and close deals with an average size of $50k+.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, expand reach within the assigned territory, and handle existing customer expectations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of closing experience in mid‑market or enterprise sales, with a track record of meeting 800k+ sales targets.
• Proven ability to sell SaaS/IT infrastructure solutions and win new logos in the Federal Government sector.
• Willingness to travel regularly to client sites across regions.

Required skills

• Experience with MEDDIC or similar sales methodology.
• Strong prospecting and pipeline‑building capabilities.
