Store Person - Mining Equipment

About the role

A well-established Malaga business that designs and manufactures heavy equipment for the mining sector is looking for an experienced Store Person. The stores and dispatch function keeps mining sites supplied on time, and you will report directly to the Workshop Manager. The team includes warehouse officers, mechanical fitters and boilermaker welders, working 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receiving, picking, packing and dispatch of mining equipment and components
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight to meet customer and site deadlines
• Load and unload trucks carrying palletised, oversized and non-standard freight
• Operate overhead gantry cranes to lift and move heavy components
• Operate forklifts safely and carry out manual handling tasks
• Keep stock records and inventory accurate and up to date

Required profile

• Previous storeperson, warehouse or stores experience, ideally in mining, heavy industry or manufacturing
• Hands-on overhead crane experience is essential; a formal crane ticket is not required
• Current LF forklift licence and driver's licence
• Experience handling heavy, bulky or non-standard freight
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
