Store Person / Forklift Operator - Afternoon Shift

About the role

A busy warehouse team in Newcastle, NSW is looking for an experienced Store Person / Forklift Operator for an ongoing afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The role covers picking, packing, manual handling and forklift operations so that orders are prepared accurately, safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and pack PVC pipes and fittings
• Load and unload rigid local trucks
• Operate a forklift
• Manually handle pipes, fittings, cartons and pallets
• Prepare products safely and neatly for dispatch
• Check stock and identify discrepancies
• Complete dispatch documentation
• Communicate with drivers and warehouse supervisors
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard
• Follow all WHS and quality assurance procedures

Required profile

• Previous warehouse or storeperson experience preferred
• Current forklift licence and experience
• Comfortable with regular manual handling
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable and safety-conscious
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Available Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and flexible to work extra hours when required
