Stock Assistant

About the role

Chanel is looking for a full‑time Stock Assistant to support its Melbourne Fashion Boutique. The role focuses on accurate inventory management and after‑sales service, ensuring the back‑of‑house runs smoothly to enable a premium customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end stock requests, transfers, and deliveries between boutiques, the distribution centre, and Head Office.
• Assist floor staff with stock issues, replenish the sales floor, and run stock to the floor as needed.
• Unpack and verify all incoming stock deliveries and transfers.
• Conduct physical stock checks, sign off deliveries, and report discrepancies to the Head of Boutique.
• Support stock rotation, stock takes, and cycle count processes.
• Communicate repair status updates and manage spare‑parts orders for the client‑care team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar stock or inventory role, preferably within luxury or high‑end fashion retail.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation in line with Chanel standards.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and RFID inventory tools.
• Ability to generate reports and manage stock data through these systems.
