About the role
As a Stewarding Supervisor you will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead, coach and support the stewarding team, ensuring the kitchen operates safely, cleanly and efficiently. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in setting high standards and developing people.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day stewarding operations, maintaining exceptional hygiene, cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Ensure all outlets are consistently supplied with clean, sanitised and well‑maintained equipment.
- Champion food safety, chemical safety and occupational health & safety standards at all times.
- Drive cost awareness through efficient use of energy, water, cleaning materials and equipment.
- Store crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment safely and hygienically.
- Support induction, training and ongoing development of stewarding team members.
- Provide clear direction, coaching and on‑shift guidance to support performance and confidence.
- Motivate the team, monitor productivity and foster a positive, respectful and professional working environment.
Required profile
- A natural leader who enjoys developing others.
- Calm, organised and resilient, thriving in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or stewarding environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Well presented with pride in personal and team standards.
- Flexible and reliable, available to work across a 7‑day roster.
