Sterilising Technician (CSSD)

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba is looking for a Sterilising Technician to join its CSSD department and support the Perioperative department. The role drives quality-controlled systems and is central to the cleaning and sterilisation of instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Drive quality-controlled systems within the CSSD department
• Work with a team to support the Perioperative department
• Clean and sterilise instruments

Required profile

• Cert III in Sterilising Technology or equivalent, or willingness to obtain it; education to obtain the certificate may be considered
• Ideally experience as a CSSD Technician, EN or AIN in a CSSD or healthcare facility
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekend on-call work
• Working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures applied in practice
• Demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices
