Staff Specialist - Diagnostic Radiology (Permanent Part-Time)

About the role

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Staff Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology to join the team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The role provides high-quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Diagnostic Radiology and takes part in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative work within the department and hospital as required. It is a permanent part-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative services in Diagnostic Radiology
• Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Radiology Department and Hospital
• Maintain a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment supporting education, research and professional development
• Depending on training and experience, take part in subspecialty radiology such as abdomen, cardiac, neurological, musculoskeletal, breast and/or Tier A interventional radiology

Required profile

• Current registered medical practitioner registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA
• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) with recognised qualifications in Radiology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition under the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award
• Subspecialty interests and experience in regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) participation, including abdominal, musculoskeletal, neuro or breast imaging
