S&S Banking Consultant – Part‑time (20 hrs/week)

About the role

The S&S Banking Consultant role is based in the Peninsular Fair Shopping Centre in Kippa Ring, Queensland. This permanent part‑time position (20 hours per week) focuses on delivering high‑quality face‑to‑face and phone support for everyday banking enquiries, account openings and digital onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer‑obsessed service, aiming for first‑call resolution and high satisfaction scores.
• Handle everyday banking enquiries, account openings and related processes via phone, online channels and in‑store interactions.
• Educate and support customers on using Suncorp’s digital banking platforms, encouraging self‑service.
• Assist with digital onboarding to ensure a seamless experience for new clients.
• Listen actively, build trust and ask appropriate questions to exceed customer expectations and drive strong NPS results.
• Contribute to a balanced team culture that meets people, customer, risk and performance goals.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, privacy legislation, FSRA requirements and underwriting guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience in retail or everyday banking environments, including account opening and customer service.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, build trust and ask relevant questions.
• Commitment to learning digital engagement tools and adhering to compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while meeting performance targets.
