S&S Banking Consultant (Part-Time)

About the role

Suncorp Bank is hiring a Sales and Service Banking Consultant in Noosaville, Queensland. The role provides face-to-face and phone support for everyday banking enquiries, account openings and related processes, balancing customer service with team, risk and performance outcomes. It is a permanent, part-time position with 20 rostered hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:30am to 1:30pm (4 hours each day); training during the first three months is at full-time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer-focused service that drives satisfaction and first-call resolution.
• Answer everyday banking enquiries and explain account opening processes by phone and online.
• Support and teach customers how to use digital platforms for personal banking, helping them self-serve.
• Support digital onboarding so new customers have a seamless experience.
• Listen, build trust and ask the right questions to improve customer outcomes and NPS.
• Contribute to a team culture balanced across people, customer, risk and performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, external requirements and legislation such as Privacy and FSRA, and the Underwriting Guidelines.

Required profile

• Ideal background in delivering high-quality customer experience.
• Comfortable with digital customer service platforms and able to troubleshoot common digital banking apps and mobile services with customers.
• Understanding of digital verification and ID validation systems used in onboarding.
• Ability to handle digital banking queries and help customers manage their accounts online.
• No need to have all listed skills; a growth mindset is valued.
