S&S Banking Consultant, Chermside

About the role

Suncorp Bank is looking for an S&S Banking Consultant in Chermside, Queensland, based at Westfield Shopping Centre. The role provides sales and service support to customers through face-to-face interaction and inbound and outbound calls covering everyday banking enquiries, account openings and related processes, while balancing team, customer, risk and performance outcomes. It is a permanent, part-time position, and all training is delivered at full-time hours during the first three months.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer-focused service that drives satisfaction and first-call resolution.
• Answer everyday banking enquiries and explain account opening processes by telephone and online.
• Help customers use digital platforms for personal banking so they can self-serve.
• Support digital onboarding so new customers have a smooth experience.
• Listen, build trust and ask the right questions to improve customer outcomes and NPS.
• Contribute to a team culture balanced across people, customer, risk and performance.
• Comply with internal policies, external requirements and legislative obligations such as privacy and FSRA, as well as underwriting guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience delivering high-quality customer service.
• Comfortable with digital customer service platforms and able to troubleshoot common digital banking apps and mobile services with customers.
• Understanding of digital verification and ID validation used in onboarding.
• Ability to handle digital banking queries and guide customers to manage their accounts online.
• Not expected to have all skills; a growth mindset is valued.
