Specialist Practice Education Coordinator

About the role

St Vincent's Health is recruiting a Specialist Practice Education Coordinator for a fixed-term, part-time position (32 hours per week) from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2028. Working with local educators, the Coordinator leads clinical education and training across Medical, Surgical and Integrated care settings to grow the nursing workforce through the Pathway to Specialty Practice Program. The role also supports local Postgraduate Programs and builds the capacity of local educators so all staff and learners receive optimal training.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical education and training in Medical, Surgical and Integrated care settings
• Oversee and facilitate the Pathway to Specialty Practice Program
• Liaise with the Postgraduate Coordinator on development and support needs of local Postgraduate Programs
• Ensure local educators have the support and capacity needed
• Provide leadership, management and educational development for local education teams
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders on training and qualifications for the clinical nursing workforce

Required profile

• Current Australian nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Degree in General Nursing meeting registration requirements
• Masters in Advanced Nursing
• Postgraduate qualification in Education, Clinical Supervision or similar (or working towards)
• Experience developing, delivering and coordinating nursing education programs

• Salary of $134,498 to $137,696 per annum, pro rata (classification XB1-XB2)
