Specialist Pain Medicine Physician

About the role

Peninsula Health is recruiting a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician for a permanent part-time position of 20 hours per fortnight, based at Peninsula University Hospital and Mornington Centre. The physician joins an integrated pain consultation and liaison service and runs an outpatient session at the Mornington Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care.
• Promote excellence in patient care in collaboration with other specialty services and general practitioners in the community.
• Work in line with organisational policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the training of a Pain Fellow at Peninsula Health.
• Take part in clinical risk, quality and research activities within the unit.
• Promote high standards of educational support for all team members.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Specialist Pain Medicine Physician qualification (FFPMANZCA or equivalent).

Required skills

• Excellent interpersonal relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to implement change within a complex environment.
