About the role
The Specialised Transport Support Worker assists NDIS participants in accessing educational facilities, employment and community activities through safe and reliable transport services. The position is based in Dandenong.
Key responsibilities
- Provide door-to-door transport services for participants.
- Assist with mobility and accessibility needs, such as wheelchair access and securing mobility devices.
- Ensure participant safety and comfort during travel.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle.
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with participants, caregivers and service coordinators.
- Maintain accurate transport logs and reports.
Required profile
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in disability support, transportation or related fields.
- Knowledge of accessible vehicle operation and safety procedures.
- Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (if applicable).
