Sourcing Officer & Supply Chain Analytics Officer – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

SYPAQ is seeking a Sourcing Officer and a Supply Chain Analytics Officer to support a Defence client’s enterprise procurement capability. Both positions are 12‑month contracts based at Victoria Barracks, Melbourne, and will work within a specialised logistics and supply‑chain analysis team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform supply‑chain analysis and develop inventory optimisation recommendations for the 4PL item catalogue.
• Provide investigative data analysis and produce performance, sourcing and budget reports.
• Monitor inventory, catalogue updates and compliance on Toll’s ordering platforms.
• Upload and validate data in SAP ERP and Defence ERP systems.
• Generate Power BI dashboards on supply‑chain performance and customer usage.
• Liaise with inventory managers, Defence customers and the 4PL contractor on data management, purchasing performance and reverse‑logistics activities.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, supply‑chain or procurement environments, preferably within Defence or government projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret large data sets and produce actionable insights.
• Familiarity with contract compliance and quality‑assurance processes.
