Solutions Specialist, Risk Solutions

About the role

Plays an integral role in the sales process by providing functional pre‑sales expertise on banking and trading risk solutions. Supports prospect requirement discovery, solution architecture, and delivery of presentations, workshops and proofs‑of‑concept.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and support sales strategies, positioning banking and trading risk solutions against competitors.
• Analyse prospect business impact across risk domains (market, credit, liquidity, ALM, capital, stress testing) to assess product fit and advise on solution approaches.
• Deliver business solution presentations and system demonstrations for risk specialists, treasury, technology teams and C‑Level audiences.
• Respond to RFI/RFPs, manage proof‑of‑concept delivery and generate growth ideas through go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Provide end‑to‑end functional solution design, integration points and thought leadership on industry regulations and trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification with 5+ years of relevant pre‑sales experience.
• Experience supporting a major Australian bank, preferably a Big Four, with exposure to banking risk, trading risk, treasury or regulatory transformation.
• Strong knowledge of banking risk use cases and regional risk regulations (IRRBB, LCR/NSFR, Basel II/III/IV, FRTB, CCR, CVA, XVA, ICAAP, ILAAP).

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of banking book and trading book risk analytics, including ALM, liquidity risk, market risk, credit risk, VaR, sensitivities and stress testing.
• Ability to design solution architectures that integrate risk, treasury, finance, analytics, workflow and reporting systems.
