Solution Architect - Platform Modernisation and Data Migration

About the role

A remote, full-time Solution Architect is sought to lead the target-state architecture of a major platform-modernisation and data-migration program. The role works across application, data, integration, workflow, security, testing and cutover activities, collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and project leadership. It combines strong consulting and functional architecture capabilities with hands-on technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern the end-to-end target-state architecture across application, data, integration, workflow, experience and security layers.
• Lead discovery and design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Turn functional and non-functional requirements into solution designs, implementation roadmaps and architecture artefacts.
• Lead data-migration design covering profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, reconciliation, validation and cutover.
• Define integration approaches using APIs, events, middleware, Azure services and enterprise patterns.
• Review technical solutions, manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt, and set security, identity, access control, privacy, resilience, performance and regulatory requirements.
• Assess AI and intelligent-automation opportunities and define responsible AI guardrails.
• Support testing, migration rehearsals, UAT, deployment and cutover in line with the approved architecture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture and enterprise technology delivery.
• Proven experience leading platform modernisation, transformation, re-platforming or large-scale migration programs.
• Hands-on experience across technical design, configuration, development, integration, build, deployment and implementation.
• Strong experience designing and governing complex data migrations.
• Ability to lead architecture across concurrent workstreams and balance strategy with delivery constraints.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Azure Integration Services or comparable enterprise platforms.
• API-led, event-driven, cloud, security and enterprise integration patterns.
• Preferred: regulated-industry transformation experience, identity and access-management architecture, AI-enabled solutions, and familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Azure AI services or Azure OpenAI.
