Software Engineer – Sustainment Team

About the role

Objective is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Sustainment team, responsible for maintaining and evolving RegWorks customer solutions. You will work closely with customers, product managers and consultants to deliver secure, high‑quality software that meets government SaaS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy scalable Java‑based solutions using industry best practices.
• Support existing products by troubleshooting, debugging and resolving defects.
• Implement and extend unit, integration and system tests as part of the overall test strategy.
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve products and processes.
• Participate in project planning, progress meetings and occasional client workshops.

Required profile

• Strong Java development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and SQL programming.
• Familiarity with Test‑Driven Development and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
