Software Engineer

About the role

Boeing is seeking Software Engineers to join the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) program in Brisbane. BCS is a next‑generation networking solution that provides secure, scalable communications for Australian Defence Force personnel and can be rapidly deployed across land, sea, and air missions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust networking and communications software with emphasis on cyber security, scalability and performance.
• Design, develop, integrate and test hardware‑software systems.
• Write clean code to solve complex problems and participate in code reviews.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams in an inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship to meet defence security requirements.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience or interest in defence or complex engineering projects.
