Software Engineer – Functional Programming (Mid‑Level)

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Software Engineer to help build a bespoke e‑commerce platform for carrying goods. The role focuses on applying functional programming principles to create elegant, correct, and evolvable systems. You will work with a small, highly skilled team in a remote‑friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core services of the e‑commerce platform using functional programming techniques.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate business requirements into reliable code.
• Maintain and improve the deployment pipeline on AWS, leveraging Nix for reproducible builds.
• Write comprehensive tests and documentation to ensure system correctness.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team’s best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience building production‑grade software.
• Strong interest in functional programming and type‑safe languages.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools and agile processes.
