Software Engineer - Full Stack (React, Java, Cloud)

About the role

ResMed is looking for a versatile Software Engineer to join its Digital Health Technology group in Sydney. The team works with Product Managers, UX Designers and global engineering teams to build digital health solutions, owning the full software development lifecycle from architecture and development through deployment and production support. The role covers both frontend and backend development, with contributions to infrastructure, DevOps and platform improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver new product features across frontend and backend systems
• Develop and support scalable microservices and React-based micro-frontends
• Contribute to Kubernetes infrastructure, cloud services and DevOps practices
• Improve automated testing frameworks across unit, integration, contract and end-to-end testing
• Drive security, performance and reliability improvements
• Take part occasionally in production support
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to boost productivity

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Experience developing production applications with Java and React
• Full-stack development experience across frontend and backend technologies
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, contract and E2E)
• Familiarity with Jira, Datadog and modern software delivery practices
• Interest or experience in healthcare, digital health or medical technology is preferred
