Software Engineer – Autonomous Maritime Systems

About the role
Anduril’s Maritime Division is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and sustain autonomous maritime platforms. You will work on software that powers underwater vessels, simulation, data processing, and command‑and‑control systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain software for autonomous platforms, both on‑board and off‑board.
- Create test and simulation fixtures, support vehicle manufacturing, and assist with deployment to end‑users.
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, travel to co‑locate with customers up to 20% of the time.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
Required skills
- Strong programming fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, and software design.
- Experience with C++, Rust, Go, Typescript and React.
- Knowledge of embedded software, cloud technologies, and horizontally scaled systems.
- Experience troubleshooting remotely deployed software and working across the full software lifecycle.
