Software Engineer – Automation & Integration

About the role

Adactin Group is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise software solutions. You will work on automation, integration, and testing initiatives while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance and support automation capabilities for existing systems and design new tools that meet business requirements.
• Integrate Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) and Government Off‑The‑Shelf (GOTS) software.
• Translate logical designs into physical implementations using Agile development practices.
• Monitor systems and infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and give feedback on design and implementation.
• Design and implement databases for operational systems.
• Develop complex programs across multiple languages and environments.
• Contribute to high‑quality software delivery through collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing software with Java and Python.
• Experience building applications using React.
• Hands‑on expertise with automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Docker.
• Background working in Agile software development environments.
• Strong understanding of software integration, automation, and testing practices.
• Experience in database design and implementation for operational systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
• Australian citizenship with NV1/NV2/TSPV security clearance.
