Software Developer – Modelling & Simulation (Australia)

About the role

KBR is looking for motivated software developers to join a new Modelling and Simulation project. The team will set up and integrate software systems that support integrated simulation, test and evaluation (T&E) environments, including digital twins.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, integrate and configure complex software systems for the simulation and T&E environment.
• Customize and extend off‑the‑shelf and bespoke tools to work together as a coherent capability.
• Maintain, operate and support the T&E environment, troubleshooting integration issues.
• Build demonstrators and prototypes to validate integration approaches.
• Collaborate within a small, hands‑on team to deliver high‑impact solutions.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with broad technical capability.
• Relevant experience in modelling, simulation or test tool integration.
• Commitment to continual learning and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Eligibility to obtain an NV1 AGSVA security clearance.

Required skills

• Software development and system integration experience.
• Familiarity with modelling, simulation and test tools.
• Ability to customize and extend both off‑the‑shelf and bespoke software solutions.
