Software Developer

About the role

GCG is seeking a hands‑on Software Developer to join its Technology team in Brisbane. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, building and enhancing platforms that support workplace health, safety and occupational hygiene services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features, enhancements and bug fixes for current and future software platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code following engineering standards.
• Implement automated testing and validation processes to ensure code quality.
• Build responsive, user‑friendly interfaces using modern technologies such as React and Next.js.
• Integrate front‑end and back‑end services through APIs and service‑based architecture.
• Contribute to cloud‑based deployments, primarily within Azure, including serverless components.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and version‑controlled codebases using Git workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with the Technical Lead and other developers.

Required profile

• Hands‑on technical experience across the full stack (UI, web services, business logic, data layers).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
