Software Developer – Cloud SaaS for Education

About the role

Join Sentral’s technology team to build and evolve a cloud‑based platform used by over 3,000 schools across Australia. You will help shape products that reduce administrative workload and improve student outcomes, working in a fast‑moving SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver new product features that add real value.
• Enhance and maintain existing applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement testing, refinement and continuous improvement of code.
• Stay ahead of technology trends to keep products modern, scalable and future‑ready.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align solutions with customer needs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience in an enterprise SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns such as OOP and MVC.
• Experience working in agile, iterative delivery teams.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical ideas to peers and stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised and a collaborative team player.
