Social Work Clinical Lead - Heart and Lung Program

About the role

The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane is looking for a Social Work Clinical Lead for its Heart and Lung Program. You will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership to a team of Social Workers and sit as a key member of the Social Work senior management team. You will oversee service delivery, workforce planning, performance development and quality initiatives, while delivering advanced clinical social work services and advising on evidence-based practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Social Workers in the Heart and Lung stream, fostering clinical excellence, workforce capability and patient-centred care.
• Provide advanced clinical expertise and professional leadership in specialist social work services for patients with complex health needs.
• Drive strategic planning, service development and quality improvement initiatives that strengthen service delivery and support the continuum of care.
• Advise senior management, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders on social work practice, service planning and patient care.
• Oversee staff development, performance management, professional standards and compliance with social work practice frameworks and ethical requirements.
