Social Media Production Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Production Coordinator to join our creative team in Melbourne. The role blends hands‑on production work with social‑first content creation, supporting both our Production and Social teams from shoot planning through to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist on‑set production and capture photo/video content across Melbourne and occasional travel locations.
• Record behind‑the‑scenes and social‑first footage using iPhone and professional cameras.
• Support the Creative Director, producers and talent during shoots, handling client liaison and talent coordination.
• Edit short‑form social videos (Reels, TikToks, Stories) and prepare files for hand‑over to the social team.
• Maintain organized content libraries, manage files and ensure timely delivery according to briefs.
• Help plan shoot schedules, run‑sheets, locations, props and equipment, keeping productions on track.
• Identify real‑time content opportunities on set and act quickly to capture them.
• Stay up‑to‑date with social trends, formats and platform updates, contributing ideas to improve performance.

Required profile

• Passionate about social media and the end‑to‑end content creation process.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment.
• Calm under pressure with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with clients and talent on set.
• Willingness to learn, be coached and take ownership of projects.

Required skills

• Experience capturing content with an iPhone (camera skills a plus).
• Proficient editing using CapCut.
• Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok platforms and creator landscape.
• Demonstrated experience in content production and social media.
