SOC Manager

About the role

Join Sedgwick as a SOC Manager to lead a 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre. You will combine technical cybersecurity expertise with strong people leadership to protect the organisation and improve detection, investigation and response to threats.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of SOC Analysts monitoring and responding to security events around the clock.
• Oversee security investigations, incident response, and post‑incident reviews, including tabletop exercises.
• Develop and maintain SOC playbooks, policies, procedures and operating guidelines aligned with industry best practice.
• Drive automation and workflow improvements to enable analysts to focus on higher‑value work.
• Define and track metrics, KPIs and service objectives to measure organisational risk and SOC effectiveness.

Required profile

• Seven or more years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on security monitoring, detection and response.
• Proven experience leading high‑performing technical teams in global or 24x7 environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, especially under time‑sensitive incident conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to leaders and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, threat intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of security automation and orchestration, DLP, FIM, firewalls, and identity & access management technologies.
