Site Supervisor - Commercial Construction

About the role

Dale Alcock Projects, a construction division of the ABN Group focused on Perth's medium-density market, is looking for an emerging Site Supervisor. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will support the delivery of commercial and medium-density projects across the Perth metropolitan area, working alongside experienced Site Managers. The role suits someone with a year or two of site supervision experience who wants to grow in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage safety and project quality on site and supervise all on-site trade activity, including structural, services and finishes trades
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure quality of workmanship in line with the Building Codes and company procedures
• Handle site inductions, toolbox meetings and communication with trades, consultants and suppliers
• Monitor and drive the programme to achieve practical completion on time
• Assist with project budget management and preliminary costs with the Project Manager and Contract Administrator
• Interpret building plans, engineers' reports and specifications

Required profile

• 1-3 years' experience in a site-based construction role
• Experience managing trades and subcontractors on site
• Interest in a long-term career in commercial construction
• Team spirit, flexibility, strong work ethic, attention to detail and excellent communication
• Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and ability to build relationships with trades, suppliers and stakeholders

Required skills

• Basic understanding of construction programming and site coordination
• Knowledge of building codes, safety requirements and construction practices
