Site Manager – Residential Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a major Class 2 residential development in North Sydney. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all on‑site construction activities from establishment through to handover.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors to deliver works safely, efficiently and in line with the programme.
• Drive project delivery to achieve milestone, quality and commercial objectives.
• Maintain site safety compliance with WHS legislation and company standards.
• Conduct daily pre‑starts, toolbox talks, site walks and coordination meetings.
• Monitor quality across trades and ensure work meets specifications and approved documentation.
• Oversee defect prevention and quality‑assurance processes throughout construction.
• Coordinate logistics, materials, plant, equipment and workforce planning.
• Identify and resolve construction and programme challenges proactively.
• Liaise with consultants, certifiers and authorities to facilitate inspections and approvals.
• Support project reporting, short‑term programming and look‑ahead planning.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing site culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering Class 2 residential projects in NSW.
• Strong background managing multi‑storey apartment developments.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, leading from the front and building credibility through action.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
