Site Manager

About the role

Magden Constructions is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Construction Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations on commercial new builds and specialist fit‑outs across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to specifications.
• Manage subcontractors, trades and site personnel, including scheduling, performance oversight and coordination.
• Enforce WHS standards, conduct toolbox talks, inductions and regular safety audits.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, consultants and authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Monitor quality control, compliance with building codes, Australian Standards and project specifications.
• Track site programmes against milestones, proactively resolve delays and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support procurement and material coordination to keep projects moving without delay.
• When applicable, manage additional compliance, infection control and staging requirements for healthcare and medical environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor on commercial construction or fit‑out projects.
• Healthcare, hospital or medical fit‑out experience is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and site safety management.
• Relevant trade qualification and/or Diploma in Building and Construction (or working towards).
• Current White Card, Site Supervisor Safety qualification and a valid driver’s licence.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work across Brisbane and surrounding areas.
