Site Manager - High-Rise Construction

About the role

Parkview Constructions is looking for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of major high-rise construction projects across Sydney. This is a senior site-based role for a strong construction leader who manages site operations, people, subcontractors and resources closely with the Project Manager, delivering projects safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day site operations, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and program delivery.
• Manage, mentor and develop site teams, including Leading Hands and Sub-Foremen in the company's training and development program.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor construction activities so resources are used efficiently.
• Ensure works comply with approved plans, specifications, building codes, legislation and Australian Standards.
• Monitor the construction program, give regular updates and proactively address potential delays.
• Work with the Project Manager on operational issues affecting program, cost, quality or delivery.
• Coordinate site establishment, logistics and operations, and work with subcontractors, consultants, clients and authorities.
• Identify and resolve site issues early and promote a positive, accountable site culture.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum).
• 6+ years' experience as a Site Manager, ideally on high-rise residential or commercial projects.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale projects valued at $50M+.
• Strong knowledge of construction legislation, building codes and Australian Standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and give constructive design and buildability feedback.
• Leadership skills, planning, organisation and time management, and strong written and verbal communication.
