Site Manager - Commercial Construction

About the role

A small commercial construction business in Toowoomba, specialising in fit-outs and smaller commercial builds, is looking for a Site Manager. The role manages the construction process on site so that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. It reports directly to the Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with safety, quality and project specifications
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and clients to keep projects on track
• Manage subcontractors and vendors against project schedules and quality requirements
• Monitor budgets and costs, identify issues and implement cost-saving measures
• Lead on-site teams across various sites, with some travel from time to time

Required profile

• Trade background with the ability to coordinate and manage the construction process
• Genuine willingness to stay on the tools and help out where needed
• Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and manage on-site teams
• Commitment to honesty, accountability and pride in work
• Local to Toowoomba, with flexibility to work across various sites
