Site Engineer - Rail and Civil Infrastructure

About the role

ACCIONA Infrastructure delivers major civil, transport, water, tunnelling and building projects across Australia and New Zealand. This Site Engineer role is employed through Geotech Pty Ltd, which brings over 40 years of civil, rail and ground engineering experience. The position supports the planning, execution and handover of project works in Brisbane, working with the Project Manager, supervisors and Senior Project Engineer, and covers construction documentation, procurement, contract administration and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cost control: track costs and productivity, forecast against the construction budget and deliver weekly and monthly reports
• Support the Senior Project Engineer in planning, executing and handing over works on time, within cost and quality, including look-ahead planning and rolling programs with the supervisor
• Administer contract works, record daily progress, material deliveries, site resources, subcontract works, delays, variations and day works
• Prepare work procedures, inspection and test plans, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), site access plans and other safety and construction documentation
• Confirm permits and approvals, investigate services and utilities, issue internal permits to work and manage works to permits, drawings and specifications
• Apply safety, environmental and quality procedures, maintain the Quality Management System and record the traceability of materials, work lots and completed works
• Support procurement and purchase orders, run internal audits and complaints registers, contribute to inductions for personnel and plant and attend pre-start meetings

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree (or similar)
• 2-3 years of experience as a project-based engineer in construction engineering, in disciplines such as rail and associated civil infrastructure
• Current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
