Site Engineer - High-Rise Residential Projects

About the role

Parkview Constructions, a multi-award-winning Sydney-based construction company founded in 1997 with over 180 staff across multiple projects, is looking for a Site Engineer. The role reports to the Project Manager and acts as the liaison between construction, design and administration, assisting with quality management and providing technical construction support to all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Help establish, maintain and monitor project quality standards and procedures
• Identify project issues and drive the development and implementation of solutions
• Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists for compliance, and review quality of subcontract works on site
• Assist in keeping design to standard and on time so the programme is maintained
• Facilitate resolution of design and coordination issues between client, consultant and subcontractors
• Control the flow of technical information between design disciplines and stakeholders, and monitor the design team against the target programme
• Review consultant and subcontractor output for compliance with the design brief and reference tender package content where applicable

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in an engineering role within a tier 1-3 building environment
• Experience on similar high-rise residential projects worth more than $50M
• Proactive, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach

Required skills

• Overall understanding of quality and design for structures, services, finishes and facade components
• Strong administration and written communication skills with attention to detail
